After the overwhelming success of the Rebirth of Buddha, the same creative forces have returned to deliver, not one, but two new films for 2012. The first of which is the much anticipated live action thriller, The Final Judgement. Buzz surrounding this production has reached a frenzied state in Japan, so now is a perfect opportunity to introduce this new motion picture to our international community.
In 2009, after learning of the planned military invasion of Japan by the dominant Asian superpower the Ouran, Shogo Washio (26) and Kenzo Nakagishi establish the “Future Restoration Party” to vie for placement within the House of Representatives to warn of the looming affront. While gaining moderate support and even befriending a lady of the Ouran, Rin Polto (20), their bid for office is unsuccessful, leaving Japan in a state of uncertainty.
Several years later, despite the efforts of the “Future Restoration Party”, the invasion of Japan is a frightening reality. The Ouran’s military blankets the skies of Tokyo and overwhelms Japan with an unremitting arsenal of devastation. Battered and fragile, Japan succumbs to defeat and is seized by Ouran forces. Among the chaos, citizens are stripped of precious liberties and are subjected to the will of the Ouran, who mercilessly arrest and kill all who oppose their totalitarian regime.
Seeking recourse, Shogo clandestinely joins “ROLE”, an underground religious organization that shelters its’ believers against the violent oppression. The leader of “ROLE” is Kenzo’s father, Yujiro Nakagishi, who confides in Shogo that faith in God is the only way to restore a future to a world without hope. For salvation to be realized, a new Savior must come.
